Montet Castle Estate
The former "training and meeting center" of the Focolare Movement was recently taken over by the municipality of Les Montets.
The new Domaine du Château de Montet is the new hub of downtown Montet. The estate welcomes families, associations, businesses, startups, young and old alike; all kinds of human encounters are on the agenda.

- The L-shaped main building (At Village 11 and 13) combines work and living. With rooms of varying sizes, it hosts meetings and events of all kinds. This commune of Montets was created in January 2004 by the merger of the communes of Aumont, Frasses, Granges-de-Vesin and Montet. The territories of Granges-de-Vesin and Montet are crossed by a river, the Petite-Glâne, which rises in Vuissens and then flows to the Salavaux bridge, where it flows into the Broye. The population of the political commune of Montets has grown by an average of +2.00% per year over the past five years to reach 1,586 inhabitants (situation as of December 31, 2022).

The town is fairly well served by public transport. It is located between the towns of Murten and Romont. Shopping opportunities are mainly located in Estavayer-le-Lac. The "TPF" (public transport company) provides bus and train connections to the Cugy and Estavayer-le-Lac train stations, as well as to other villages in the region. The nearest bus stop is approximately 300 m away (Montet, Village). Cugy train station is approximately 1.80 km away. The nearest A1 motorway exit (Estavayer-le-Lac) is only a few minutes' drive away.
