Longirod

Longirod is a charming village nestled in the foothills of the Jura Mountains in the canton of Vaud. Longirod is a small rural commune with a rich history, nestled in a preserved natural setting, appreciated for its panoramic views, eco-friendly infrastructure, agricultural traditions, and the peaceful living environment it offers its residents and visitors.

Transport

The village is located on the cantonal road which connects Gland to St-George to Col du Marchairuz to Vallée de Joux.

Longirod is well connected by regular and night buses, with convenient connections to Nyon and bus/train connections to Lausanne. Private transportation is facilitated by local taxis and nearby rental agencies. Municipal road safety efforts improve the comfort of pedestrian travel.

Longirod does not have its own train station. The nearest are Bassins (5 km) or Arzier, which can be reached by taxi or bus.

School courses
