The small farmhouse, built in 1817, faces Schmittengasse. It is a mixed-construction building (solid base and gable end, simple timber framing). The 1851 extension, perpendicular to the building facing Dorfstrasse, is a timber-framed building. Both sections have simple rafter roofs; the older section has soffits and soffit cladding, while the extension has cantilevered tie beams. The main entrance is via a single-flight staircase on the south side leading to the mezzanine floor.
The wooden arbor of the extension was built in 1981 and the floor plan and openings of the ground floor were also changed, and the house entrances were moved.
When you enter the house you are greeted by a small vestibule with a coat rack and you immediately get the feeling of being in a house where people live together and many shared memories live on.
The mezzanine floor houses the entrance with a vestibule, and to the right of it is the dining room, which could also be used as another living room. Straight ahead is the elongated (L-shaped) kitchen. A door at the end of the kitchen leads to the laundry room (with a washing machine and dryer), which, thanks to its size, can also be used as a generous storage room. This room then leads to the WC on the ground floor or on the mezzanine floor.
The stairs lead to the upper floor, where the corridor leads to the cozy and comfortable living room, which, with its magnificent exposed beams and paneled walls and ceiling, creates a very rustic feel.
